Management team
Dr. Yossi Rubner, CEO - Dr. Rubner brings
over 20 years experience of top R&D management combined with academic research and
teaching. Prior to founding RTC he managed large R&D groups at Applied Materials,
Israel (2002-2003) and Jigami, Israel (CTO, 1999-2001). His previous experience
includes consulting for Xerox Corporation in the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC),
development of Desktop Publishing Systems in Scitex Corporation, and leading R&D
projects as an officer in an Israel Defense Force Technical Unit.
Dr. Rubner graduated from the Israeli Defense Forces Computer academy ("MAMRAM")
in 1983 (with distinction); he holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering (Summa cum
Laude) from the Technion (1991), and PhD degrees in Computer Science and in Electrical
Engineering from Stanford University (1999), where he specialized in the area of
Computer Vision. He has published a book and over 15 journal and conference papers
in the areas of Image/Video Processing and Computer Vision. He is also teaching
advanced courses at various universities in Israel.
Yohai Falik, CTO - Yohai has 14 years of
experience in algorithms and R&D management. Yohai specializes in video/image compression
and video streaming. Prior to RTC he managed algorithms groups in Adamind (2005-2007)
and Emblaze (2000-2005). Previously, he worked for Motorola (1997-2000), and for
a scientific group in the Israeli army (1993-1996). He has eight patents and patent
applications registered under his name and was involved in developing innovative
ideas in each company he worked for. Yohai holds an M.Sc in computer science from
Tel-Aviv University.
Moti Meir, VP R&D - Moti brings over 14
years of hi-tech experience including broad experience in communication protocols,
security, cellular, and compression algorithms. He managed R&D groups at Amdocs
(2003-2005) involving real time online systems. Prior to joining Amdocs he was at
Crescendo Networks, and at Jigami where he was in charge of the design and development
of Internet and Email accelerating servers. Mr. Meir’s previous experience includes
R&D Managing at Computer Associates (CA), and R&D at Tadiran Communications LTD.
Between 1991-1994 Mr. Meir served in the Israeli Air Force as the manager of a technical
laboratory.
Mr. Meir holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and in Computer Science from
Bar-Ilan University (2007, 1999).
Nir Avrahami, Chief Scientist –
Nir brings more than 10 years of industrial experience
in R&D, accompanied with extensive knowledge and expertise in numerous areas of
Computer-Vision, including Low-Level Vision, Structure From Motion, Feature Selection,
Registration, Machine Learning and more. Prior to joining RTC, Nir served as the CTO of
ioimage (2003-2008), where he also established and managed its algorithm team. Previously,
he served as a Senior Algorithms Developer in CogniTens 3D Visions Systems (1998-2003).
Nir holds an M.Sc. (Summa Cum Laude) in Computer-Science from Tel-Aviv University
(Thesis in On-Line Algorithms).
Dr. Yoram Elichai, R&D Director - Dr. Elichai is a specialist in Image Processing,
in Applied Mathematics, and is an outstanding algorithm and software developer.
He completed his M.A. and PhD degrees at Ben-Gurion University under the supervision
of Prof. Yomdin. The ideas in Image Processing developed in his PhD thesis where
the basis of Vimatix, a start-up company engaged in Image Processing for mobile
phones were Dr. Elichai served as the VP R&D (2000-2005).
