Dr. Yossi Rubner, CEO

Dr. Rubner brings over 20 years experience of top R&D management combined with academic research and teaching. Prior to founding RTC he managed large R&D groups at Applied Materials, Israel (2002-2003) and Jigami, Israel (CTO, 1999-2001). His previous experience includes consulting for Xerox Corporation in the Palo Alto Research Center PARC, development of Desktop Publishing Systems in Scitex Corporation, and leading R&D projects as an officer in an Israel Defense Force Technical Unit. Dr. Rubner graduated from the Israeli Defense Forces Computer academy ("MAMRAM") in 1983 (with distinction); he holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering (Summa cum Laude) from the Technion (1991), and PhD degrees in Computer Science and in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University (1999), where he specialized in the area of Computer Vision. He has published a book and over 15 journal and conference papers in the areas of Image/Video Processing and Computer Vision. He is also teaching advanced courses at various universities in Israel.

 

Yohai Falik, CTO

Mr. Failk has 14 years of experience in algorithms and R&D management. Mr. Falik specializes in video/image compression and video streaming. Prior to RTC he managed algorithms groups in Adamind (2005-2007) and Emblaze (2000-2005). Previously, he worked for Motorola (1997-2000). He has eight patents and patent applications registered under his name and was involved in developing innovative ideas in each company he worked for. Mr. Falik holds an M.Sc in computer science from Tel-Aviv University.

 

Nir Avrahami, Chief Scientist

Mr. Avrahami brings more than 12 years of industrial experience in R&D, accompanied with extensive knowledge and expertise in numerous areas of Computer-Vision, including Low-Level Vision, Structure From Motion, Feature Selection, Registration, Machine Learning and more. Prior to joining RTC, Mr. Avrahami served as the CTO of ioimage (2003-2008), where he also established and managed the algorithm team. Previously, he served as a Senior Algorithms Developer in CogniTens 3D Visions Systems (1998-2003). Mr. Avrahami holds an M.Sc. (Summa Cum Laude) in Computer-Science from Tel-Aviv University.

 

Dr. Avner Sharon, V.P Marketing

Dr. Sharon is an entrepreneur which managed several startup companies, serving as CEO of PBC Lasers Ltd and GM of GWS-Photonics, with more than 18 yrs of research and management of multidisciplinary development, engineering and operation teams, subcontractors, as well as vast experience in leading marketing and business development activities with leading vendors and customers in Europe, US and Japan (e.g. JVC, Hamamatsu, JDSU, Fujitsu, Hitachi, and Pirelli Telecom) at different market arenas (e.g. Display, Optical Storage, Semiconductors, Industrial, Telecom, HLS). In addition, Dr. Sharon has extensive technical expertise in electro-optics, lasers technologies, semiconductors, telecom and metrology systems, with many papers and patents, where he holds a Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Business Management (Lahav) from Tel-Aviv University.

 

Shmulik Ben-Shemen, VP products

Mr. Ben-Shemen has over 15 years of experience in the development and implementation of information technologies. Prior to joining RTC, Mr. Ben-Shemen served as VP R&D, VP Professional Services and member of the management team of Cyota, which was acquired by RSA Security (NASDAQ:RSAS) for $145 million (2000-2008). Previously, he served as a Senior R&D Team Leader at Amdocs (1994-2000) Ltd, a world leader in customer care and billing systems for the telecommunications industry. As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Ben-Shemen designed, implemented and integrated message processing systems for cellular switches at such client sites as SBC, Pacific Bell Wireless and more. Mr. Ben-Shemen holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
