Products & Technology

The versatile and unique technological experience of RTC's development team, together with the products and technologies that has been developed by RTC, covers various aspects in low-level Image and Video Processing, as well as in high-level Computer Vision. In the area of Image and Video Processing RTC utilizes its technologies for: optimal image acquisition, registration, image enhancement, multi frame fusion, super resolution, visual inspection, video streaming and compression, and more.

In the area of computer vision RTC employs functions of tracking, pattern recognition, 3D reconstruction, image/video indexing and machine learning. As performance issues arise when running complex imaging algorithms, RTC developed expertise in deploying its solutions also on the GPU (Graphics processing unit) – a cutting edge approach that virtually turns PCs into nearly super-computers.

On a daily basis, RTC solves advanced Image Processing and Computer Vision issues in joint development with its customers and partners. From this diversity of technological achievements, two main product lines have already been derived:

PixelFuse™ is a comprehensive software library for image and video enhancement. With only minimal customization, PixelFuse empowers a wide variety of products that involve imaging functionality. PixelFuse best fit is for the enhancement of images taken under adverse conditions. Markets in which PixelFuse has been deployed include medical imaging, security and surveillance, and consumer electronics.

ImageKey™ is a product suite for image and video indexing of large collections. Based on over fifteen years of expertise, ImageKey deploys the latest, most advanced methods of indexation by visual content. The first ImageKey deployment is scheduled later this year as part of the launch of Automage – a revolutionary product for the stock photography market jointly developed by Fotegrafik Pte. and RTC. In addition, RTC is currently developing a video indexing technology together with leading video security companies, targeting the surveillance market, as well as the internet video.

In addition to its product lines, RTC's strategy is to deploy its technology through focused spin-off companies that package RTC's technology as specific products and services, and deliver them to the markets.
An Example of such spin-off is MEP Ltd., which uses RTC's image and video enhancement technology together with patented method of multi-exposure photography to deliver a revolutionary service that will unleash the major potential of nearly billion camera phones worldwide.
